It will output 2.3 gallons a day, however, the tank only holds one gallon. This means you would have to fill it up three times a day to use it all day. I use it at night and I have to fill it every night and put the setting on halfway to not run out of water before I wake up. If you are using this humidifier for a light duty application it is fine, but by no means is this product a workhorse. <br /> <br />The water storage area has a handle that is not very ergonomic for carrying it from the sink to the unit. <br /> <br />It has a pleasant aesthetic appeal and is much more suited for the bedroom than the penguin version Crane makes. It is SUPER quiet! I have a toddler and and infant and I needed something more quiet than the Vicks humidifier. I think it's great that you can adjust the amount of humidity it produces by just a turn of the knob. Angling it is also easy by rotating the top cap in either direction. I am so happy with this that I ordered another! WAY better than the Vicks brand humidifier. I highly recommend this one! Rating: 5 / 5 I just got this product today and I loved it instantly! This standard filter is inserted easily into the "animal-shaped" (penguin, frog, etc) Crane humidifiers. However, this filter does not fit at all into this "tear-drop"-shaped Crane humidifier. I called up Crane customer service and rep said, yes, correct, it will not accept the filter. He said there is no other Crane filter made to fit this "tear-drop"-shaped humidifier. I must use a filter with my water quality.
