I wasn’t hurting anyone and didn’t crash. Why is there a law against this if no one is harmed. I can understand if I had hit someone or crashed into a car or something. But all I had was a couple of beers and ran into a checkpoint right near princeton new jersey. Anyway, does anyone know a good drunk driving lawyer that can protect my rights and get me off this dwi? I would spend any amount on legal fees to make this go away and not have it hit my driving record. It’s not like I was wasted, just had a few drinks and got pulled over by the police and given a breathylizer. They didn’t even give me a roadside sobriety test. Also, should I hire an attorney in Princeton, or another town that is closer to the courthouse?

Guilty. You NEED an attorney.
You’re complaining why you’re being charged when no one was hurt? For the same reason people that attempt murder get charged.
You were an irresponsible human being to get behind the wheel after 6 drinks. Unbelievable. What if you had killed someone?
You broke the law and endangered innocent bystanders, you deserve to sit your pathetic sorry butt in a jail cell. How would you feel if a drunk driver killed your family? How harmless is it then?
it all depends on your weight,if you weight a lot then you can drink more without being intoxicated so it depends on weight and how strong the drink was
you took your chances bud and lost the roll of the dice. Be a man and take the punishment. Just cause you didnt hurt no one doesnt make it right. Thats like saying someone shouldnt get charged with attempted murder if they stabbed someone and they didnt die.
U didnt hit anyone. YET! It is very possible that u could’ve. The police had every right to arrested u. U need a good attorney. Dont drive after you drink. From now on, if u drink 2 or more glasses of alcohol, call a cab. Don’t risk hurting someone. But, yeah, ur guilty.
6 beers and you think it’s ok to drive? And now you want someone to get you out of this? I bet your mother raised you better than this and is very ashamed of you right now.
Get a lawyer that specializes in Drunk Driving in Princeton, NJ. Don’t mess around get an attorney now. Try
“I wasn’t hurting anyone and didn’t crash.”
“Why is there a law against this if no one is harmed?”
Because there are drunks who ask these sorts of questions…
You moron. You knew what the law was when you started drinking and got behind the wheel. Quit whining and accpet responsibility for your actions. You got lucky and did not injure anyone. “Protect your rights.” What a joke. What about my right to drive on a road without fear of some drunk swerving into me. You were impaired. Whether you realized it or not, you were impaired.
Nothing happened but you were at a higher risk to cause an accident. 6 drinks is too much to drive. Even one drink can slow down your reaction time and make you tired.
I am disgusted by the way you asked this questions because people like you cause accidents. It’s just a couple drinks. Oh, well lets keep you on the road until you kill someone while you walk away with a bruise. You are acting irresponsible! Grow up, take responsibility for your actions and don’t do it again.
The good news is gas prices are up
And when you switch to a bicycle you will save lots of $$$ !
Almost enough to pay the bazillions in court costs and fines .
Skip the lawyer , It WILL be on your record ,
Too many of your boozing buddies already screwed the pooch on this .
u cld call peter lederman 732-462-7170 he is one of the top drunk driving lawyers in nj he practices all over the state i know h im personally
I agree with you. I too believe that the limit for alcohol consumption is too low. The older laws that allowed you to have a few more drinks are much better! For instance, I do have my share of alcoholic beverages and I due sometimes enjoy a nice happy hour. To say because I weigh 160 LBS that I’m not allowed to consume more than 3 beers is foolish. I do believe because I have been drinking for so long and in large quantities that I am able to handle my alcohol much better than lets say a 21 year old. I personally feel that I could have a 12 pack of beer and be fine to drive, at least with one eye open. Now you have been charged in Princeton, New Jersey and I’m assuming you attend college there. Great school.. If I were I would talk to a lawyer in Princeton NJ or even Belle Meade NJ. I think there are several pretty good DWI Lawyers or in your case perhaps a DUI lawyer.
Because you were right around the limit perhaps the apparatus (Breathalyzer) was faulty. Hopefully you did not tell them how many beers you had.
Contact a good attorney and he should be able to get you off the charge or at least a PBJ.
Good Luck
You need a good new jersey drunk driving attoney asap. I would have the lawyer question the validitiy of the breathylizer ala BAC. Since you blew a .09, you are very close to the .08 New Jersey Limit. A good attorney will be able to challenge this by stating that the breathylizer was not calibrated correctly. Do whatever you can to get out of this unfair charge. Police should looking for hardened criminals not folks who like to have a couple of drinks and drive. The severity of the recent drunk driving laws are ridiculous and totally brought about by the pschycos at MADD (mothers agaist drunk driving). This is a fringe organization that is misguided in it altruism. MADD is a semi terroist organization that is single minded against your average driver.
I agree, you really committed no crime. You hurt no one, and destroyed no property in princeton, nj. Those crazy assed biatches don’t know how the real world works. If I have a couple of beers I deserve to be able to drive in new jersey. I have committed no crime and if I do get pulled over you would be arresting me for the potential not the reality.
What are you guys thinking about?? Are you kidding me you are complaining about the laws of drinking and driving. Perhaps you don’t have kids. Perhaps you don’t care about your own life. If you do attend Princeton I would think you have a little common sense. I would recommend an attorney but for you I’m not. I hope you learn your lesson that drinking and driving is bad. You deserved the DWI / DUI plain and simple.
First off, 6 beers is not a few drinks. You blew .09. That is over the legal limit. A field sobriety test is not needed if the officer feels you are intoxicated by your actions, speech and/or smell of alcoholic beverage, especially at a checkpoint.
There is a law for people like you who are a potential threat. You were taken off the road BEFORE you injured someone.
As for an attorney, it doesnt matter where he is from. As long as he he licensed to practice in NJ. And as for ‘getting you off’. Be happy if you only lose your license for 6 months.
