My computer initially had Windows 2003 server when first built in 2004, then XP in 2006. The power box died in April 07 and I’ve only just now resurrected it. I know my hard drive is corrupted. The “Event Viewer” only states that my HD is corrupted (i.e. “Block is Bad” error message in “System ” section of Event Viewer), but doesn’t state which block is bad… I know if Block 1 is corrupt, then data recovery is near impossible without professional equipment… . . . → Read More: Corrupt HardDrive question?

I have a 500gb external harddrive that has failed. I dropped it and it begun clicking so i know its gone. I tried connecting it to the pc and it tuns then begins to click then after 5 seconds i can feel the drive stop spinning.
